10/29/26 South Coast Community Gathering

Let’s be real, there is a lot to be upset about in the political and economic landscape right now. People are feeling the pinch with rising energy costs, record-setting wildfire season (not a good kind of record), and escalating authoritarian political actions (upcoming election season threats). It is a critical time for community members to connect, talk about opportunities to mobilize community priorities, and get prepared on how South Coast communities can have a voice during the upcoming 2027 Oregon Legislative session.

Let’s be real, there is a lot to be upset about in the political and economic landscape right now. It is a critical time for community members to connect, talk about opportunities to mobilize community priorities, and get prepared on how South Coast communities can have a voice during the upcoming 2027 Oregon Legislative session.

For this upcoming Community Gathering, we will be exploring Rogue Climate’s democratic policy prioritization process that uplifts community members  priorities for the 2027 legislative long session. The more South Coast voices involved in this process showcases to decisionmakers in Salem the change and investments that we want to see for our communities. Let’s keep up this momentum as we prepare for more policy wins in 2027!

Everyone is welcome - no experience or background knowledge on policy/the legislative process needed. Together, we can build the just future solutions that our communities deserve through legislative advocacy.
