Our vision for the future can’t happen without a Just Transition - a unified movement that moves our communities together from our current extractive and profit-driven systems into a regenerative economy that re(distributes) wealth and power into our communities, especially those on the frontlines. 

Changing the Rules is one strategy to create a Just Transition that deepens democracy by creating a system for workers and communities to have control over the decisions that affect their daily lives in Southern Oregon.

Have you ever sent a message to a legislator, showed up for a community event, or signed a petition? Then you’ve already been a part of changing the rules! 

Organizing to build community power to pass policy has been a core strategy for Rogue Climate - whether by passing the Climate Pollution Impact Fee in Ashland, winning the 100% Clean Energy For All and Community Resilience Hubs bills at the state level, and organizing the state-wide Make Polluters Pay Campaign to hold polluters accountable for their climate harms. Let’s keep building on this momentum as we prepare for more policy wins in 2027.
